Aqua Drums

We wanted to record some unique drums for the opening theme of a new Netflix mermaid reality series (fingers-crossed). So, we made an entire library of liquid percussive goodness for any of our vacation-starved listeners.

We begin with a sound check:

Then we started playing a groove. Look out for drummer Sean Samuels at your next swim meet. “Be water my friend” is taken to another level when you see how fluid his playing is. And yes, that is a rain barrel in the place of a normal bass drum:
